Perform the following steps to transfer files after installing the BlackBerry Device Manager software: Click Continue Installation after reviewing the Read Me and License Agreement.Double click the BlackBerry Device Manager Installer to start the installation process.On the desktop or within Finder, double click BlackBerry Device CD/BlackBerry Link Installation.Connect the BlackBerry device to the Mac.Installing the BlackBerry Device Manager software following the steps listed below.Download and install BlackBerry Link by clicking here.In order to share files between a Mac and BlackBerry device the BlackBerry Device Manager software is required which may be installed by one of the following methods: Note: The removable_sdcard folder and or device folder may contain several sub-folders such as documents, music, photos, videos, etc.įile Sharing with a Mac via USB connection Transfer the desired files between the computer and these folders.Note: A prompt will appear and ask for user name and password (as seen from step 4 above) Navigate to the media folder, or removable_sdcard folder if SD card is inserted in the device (once the device is connected to the computer).On a Mac computer, select Go > Connect to Server.(where 127.1.1.1 should be replaced with the actual IP address of the BlackBerry Device) On a Windows computer, open the Run dialog box (shortcut of Windows Key + R).Navigate to the IP address of the device from a Windows or Mac based computer on the same network as the BlackBerry device which can be found under Settings > About > Network.This allows verification of the device's network identification information. Select Properties for BlackBerry PlayBook or select Identification on Network for BlackBerry 10 smartphone.Toggle Wi-Fi Sharing to ON for BlackBerry PlayBook or toggle Access using Wi-Fi to On for BlackBerry 10 smartphone.
